Getting There…
Whidbey Island is accessible two ways - by ferry and by land. If you are traveling from out of town, you will want to rent a car as public transportation is very limited!
By ferry (~1.5 hours from Seattle if no ferry wait):
Drive north on I-5 to the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal. The ferry runs 24 hours/7 days a week, leaves every 30 minutes and arrives in Clinton about 15-20 mins later. Our cabin is about 15 mins north of Clinton on state route 525 on the left hand side of the highway. Word to the wise - the ferry is VERY busy on Fridays and Sundays in the summer (up to a 2 hour wait), so plan accordingly - we recommend coming Thursday mid-day!
By land (~2.5 hours from Seattle):
Drive north on I-5 to exit 230 toward Burlington/Anacortes/Skagit Airport. Use the left two lanes to turn left onto SR 20 by taking the 2nd exit at the roundabout. At the second roundabout (8 miles on), take the 2nd exit to stay on SR 20. This will take you onto Whidbey Island and over Deception Pass bridge, which is truly breathtaking. SR 20 turns into SR 525 which is the road our cabin (and everything else on Whidbey) is on.
